PBI (Polybenzimidazole)
PBI polymer is an ultra high performance plastic developed in cooperated with NASA: National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and AFML: Air Force Materials Laboratory.
PBI shows extraordinary thermal properties:
- Heat deflection temperature (HDT): 410°C
- Glass transition temperature (Tg): 420°C
PBI Performance Products is a raw material supplier and PBI Advanced Materials manufactures and sells PBI materials under the license of PBI Performance Products.
As for the history of PBI business, please see here in details.
