SCM5100 (Silver PEEK) is an Electric Static Discharge grade, which is filled with ceramic whisker.

Size of the whisker is 130 nanometers in diameter and 2 microns in length, SCM5100 has a stable surface resistivity and an excellent finer machining possibility.

SCM5100-15 (Silver PEEK15) has excellent electrical property and dimensional stability due to its lower water absorption. It exhibits stable ESD property between fine pitch holes.

SCM5100-15 is possible to reduce the damage caused by processing and impact by controlling the amount of ceramics whiskers.

About Ceramic Whisker

The whisker that is used in this product is a kind of functional ceramics. The composite oxide shows the similar characteristics to aluminum oxide (alumina). The whisker has a high aspect ratio, low linear expansion coefficient, excellent mechanical properties such as high strength and high modulus.

In particular, since the aspect ratio is large, the whisker provides a high filler reinforcement effect.

ESD stock shapes with
high rigidity and machinability [Compression]

SCM5100-50 (Silver PEEK50) exhibits excellent properties both stable surface resistivity and high rigidity by controlling the amount of ceramics whisker with 2 micrometer in length and 130 nanometer in diameter.

SCM5100-50 easily removes burrs during the machining process.
